Provides a homeless shelter for men, a food pantry and soup kitchen (serving meals 3 meals/day, 7 days/week), emergency financial assistance (for rent, utilities, and medical prescriptions when funds are available), and transitional housing for men recovering from substance abuse.

Helping Hands provides emergency food assistance for families in crisis. We also provide emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities. Our desire is to encourage, strengthen, and help families in need in the greater High Point area.

Distributes food through a network of partner agencies to feed those in need in an eighteen-county service area.

​4. Ward Street Mission

Their mission is to offer shelter from the storm, and provisions for a better life. Community dinners are served 5:30 – 6:30 on Thursday, and the food pantry is open on Wednesday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and Thursday 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Sunday at 9:00 am and Narcotics Anonymous meets on Monday at 8:00 pm. The thrift store is open from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm on Tuesday through Saturday. The clothes closet is open 9:00 am – 2:00 pm on Monday through Thursday and Saturday 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, on Thursday evenings 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm, and on Sunday mornings 8:00 – 9:30 am.

7. Hope for Humanity

This Outreach Ministry is designed to help those in need by providing them with nourishment, clothing, and personal hygiene products. Meet every fourth Sat. of the

month 11am - 1pm. Free to all in need.
